B'COOL PRODUCTS
|
|
(Click the logo above for the BCOOL Products site...opens in a new window)
It's my pleasure and I'm eager to introduce to you the extreme quality of Randy Briley's B'Cool Products fenders and blanks. For those of you not familiar with the high quality products B'COOL offers, you'll be doing yourself and your clients a big favor by looking into the Pro Builders and Skin-Tite series of fenders and blanks.
Seeing how I'm not a lightweight by any means, the fender blank below was fresh off the brown truck and I just had to demonstrate the heavy, durable construction of these fenders by planting my size 12's on top of it. But that's not where it stops...the quality continues into the finish and beyond. Shape and fit is exact and true. Constructed from up to 10 gauge material, I dare you to compare the B'COOL Products quality to anything available anywhere.
(Click above for some detailed photos of the quality difference)
B'COOL Products provided the high quality fender blanks for our Metric Revolution project bike, RATIKUL, and others in the MoonShine Steel shop. If it's about quality for your build, look into B'COOL. Tell Randy that MoonShine sent ya ! |

BATTERY BOX and ODYSSEY PC545 DRY CELL
Unkl Al fabbed the top flat of the seat pan to fit the frame rails from 1/8" steel plate...he and I agreed it was "overkill" but it's a good thing. It provided an ideal way to conceal (almost) the battery. The frame rails hide a large portion of the battery box hanging on the underside of this seat pan. The battery box, as well as the seat, was upholstered in genuine leather.
After the frame came back to me for mock-up and assembly, I had to figure out where to hide the battery. There was just no more room left because I insisted on the air-ride cylinder in the stock shock location and I looked into placing the battery in the front area of the swingarm but that was out due to concerns of vibration (one of the biggest killers of batteries) and also I needed that particular space to hide the air compressor and relays associated with the adjustable air-ride. I decided to weld the tight fitting battery box to the underside of the steel seat pan (above) and also added a little more "style" to the top plate that forms to the rear fender a little better (below).
A note about this Odyssey battery...the manufacturer claims this battery can be utilized in any position EXCEPT completely inverted. All this worked together to make a reasonably nice place to locate the battery. The entire assembly is held on to the frame by 2 screws accessed from the top of the seat and a forward facing "prong" that slides into the junction where the frame rails meet the backbone. It was my desire to not use sidecovers at all to leave the area open and display the custom chrome oil tank/transfer case cover.
