FROM BAGGER TO CHOPPER
OK...I already admitted I'm sick...maybe a little deranged might be a better description. You might be thinking I'm a little disturbed to be cutting up a bike like this...or maybe a few of you understand. Hey...the first cut's the hardest and then it's all downhill. The bike in it's bagged form was an absolute delight...strong, pulled good and sounded just right. Handling was great and the bike was so well balanced, that was one of the first comments people new to the Road Star line make. I wanted to retain these desirable traits for this bike even after frame geometry changes. The bike today...in it's chopped configuration...I'm proud to say, is a rider. Balanced, low center of gravity, powerful and a pleasure to maneuver. To be honest, not all "choppers" end up that way. There's a lot of homework to be done to obtain that fine balance between looks, style and handling, especially if you are building a "rider" versus a "show" piece.
